The original team is working on a DLC that will enrich the game’s story. CD Projekt Red held an investor meeting where it has been said Cyberpunk 2077 to be a huge success and has sold 18 million copies despite a troubled debut since its release in December 2020.
In the face of bugs and compatibility issues, the game was first removed from the digital store on PlayStation, and optimized versions for PS5 and Xbox Series arrived this year.
The company reports that it believes the game will sell steadily over the years, as did The Witcher 3, and that the first expansion for the game will only see the light in 2023.
The content will include a new narrative. It keeps the original team engaged with the line and development. The latter is taking longer than expected because it needed to fix the technical issues of the base game first, then convert it to new platforms.
