Elon Musk plans to establish a colony on Mars in 20 years

One of the dreams of the world’s richest man, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, is a plan to colonize Mars by making humans a multi-planetary species. Musk recently tweeted, “In 20 years there will be a self-sufficient city on Mars!”

SpaceX was founded in 2002 with the aim of carrying out cargo and manned missions to Mars by 2024. Musk hopes to build a self-sufficient Martian city by 2050. SpaceX plans to land a spacecraft on Mars in 2024. This spacecraft, unlike the others, will be the largest spacecraft in the history of humanity and can host 100 people.

Scientists say that in addition to land, Mars also has traces of water. Mars’ climate environment and planetary laws are similar to Earth’s, making Mars a suitable planet for human habitation. Musk said he wants this generation to see people land on Mars, just as he landed on the moon in 1969.
