Thanks to this feature, the title of the vehicle with the longest range after the Lucid Air Dream Edition with a range of 850 kilometers has passed to the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX.
The weight of the car is 1750 kilograms. Its battery is 50 percent smaller than the battery module in the EQS model.
Battery Technology
Instead of increasing the battery size, the Mercedes-Benz and HPP team developed a completely new battery and achieved an extraordinary energy density of close to 400 Wh/lt. This advanced solution offers the possibility to fit a battery with a usable energy level of 100 kWh into the compact dimensions of the VISION EQXX.
How Does It Go That Distance?
Whether you think the EQXX’s aesthetic is hot or not, it was sculpted to slice through the air using as little effort as possible. With a drag coefficient of just .17, it will be one of the most aerodynamic road-going automobiles that the world has ever seen. (Mercedes’ EQS currently holds that spot with a drag coefficient of just .20.)
