The Bloodhound’s Fang is one of the most powerful Curved Greatswords in Elden Ring. Fully upgraded, it even rivals the Legendary Armaments. Players that use this Dual-Wield Build become practically unstoppable.

In Elden Ring, due to the amount of equipment available, players can constantly change their PvE meta.

The Bloodhound’s Fang is one weapon that allows players to use most of those tools with the bonus of having its unique weapon skill.

Best Bloodhound’s Fang Dual-Wield Build

The Bloodhound’s Fang Dual-Wield build takes advantage of the incredible strength of both blades coupled with the boost from talismans and status effects to decimate enemies in Elden Ring.

Here are the items that players should use in this build:

---Left Hand: Bloodhound’s Fang +10

---Right Hand: Bloodhound’s Fang +10 (Omen’s Cleaver +20)

---Armor

    -White Mask Helm

-Black Knife Armor Set – Found under the bridge in Ordina Liturgical Town in the northern region of the Consecrated Snowfield.

---Talismans

-Rotten Winged Sword Insignia – Earned through Millicent’s Quest

-Claw Talisman – Can be obtained at Stormveil Castle by looting a corpse in a watchtower near the Rampart Tower Site of Grace.

-Lord of Blood’s Exultation – Can be obtained by defeating Esgar, Priest of Blood, in the Leyndell Catacombs in the Leyndell, Royal Capital.

-Kindred of Rot’s Exultation – Can be obtained by defeating the Kindred of Rot in Seethwater Cave near the Minor Erdtree in Mt. Gelmir.

---Quick Inventory

-Wondrous Physick: Stonebarb Cracked Tear + Thorny Cracked Tear

    -Rot Grease

    -Poison Grease

The Bloodhound’s Fang is a versatile weapon because it scales with strength and Dexterity, and players can coat the blade with different greases and Incantations. This allows players to approach their enemies in a variety of ways.

Alternatives to Bloodhound’s Fang

It is worth noting that players will only be able to obtain two Bloodhound’s Fang after entering New Game Plus. You can only get one Bloodhound’s Fang per playthrough.

Thankfully, this build also works great with other Curved Greatswords.

Here are a few that you should use alongside your Bloodhound’s Fang:

---Omen’s Cleaver

--Occult Affinity with the Seppuku Ash of War

--It can be found in Stomrveil Castle’s Courtyard.

-From the Liftside Chamber Site of Grace, head to the courtyard. There will be an Omen Ogre.

-Defeat it, and it will drop an Omen Cleaver.

-It can also randomly drop from Omen enemies.

---Beastman’s Cleaver

--Occult Affinity with the Seppuku Ash of War

--Found by using the Waygate in the Four Belfries that is described as “crumbling lands.”

-Head to the Four Belfries on the western side of Liurnia of the Lake above a hill.

-You will need an Imbued Sword Key. One can be found at the top of the Four Belfries in a chest.

-Once you’re in the Crumbly Farum Azula, make your way towards the bottom flying rocks.

-The Beastman’s Cleaver will be there.

How to Deal Maximum Damage with Bloodhound Fang’s Dual-Wield Build

The most simple and efficient way to use the Bloodhound Fang’s Dual-Wield Build is to continuously land hits while one of the blades is coated in either Rot or Poison.

This will allow players to do the greatest amount of damage possible. This is due to the following factors:

---Kindred of Rot’s Exultation talisman increases your damage by 20% for 20 seconds when someone in your vicinity is inflicted with poisoning or rot.

-This will give you a burst of damage in the beginning. If you are fighting a boss, then you’ll need to wait until the status effect wears out before you can reapply it and get the burst of damage again.

-Rot Grease causes 63 Rot build-up and lasts 60 seconds.

-Poison Grease causes 63 Poison build-ups and lasts 60 seconds.

---Lord of Blood’s Exultation allows the players to increase their damage by 20% for 20 seconds when blood loss occurs in its vicinity.

-This is a more constant boost. Blood loss is instant. Players won’t need to wait too long to reapply. The talisman itself does have a 10-second cool down between uses.

-Each Bloodhound’s Fang causes 55 Blood Loss build-up.

---White Mask Helm will increase the player’s damage by 10% for 20 seconds when blood loss is inflicted in its vicinity.

---The Rotten Winged Sword Insignia will start to increase attack power after the third successful hit for a total of three tiers of damage.

-The damage increases are as follows:6%, 8%, and 13%

-If it is too big of a delay between hits, then it will start to decay.

---One of the most useful attacks for Curved Greatsword Dual-Wield is their jumping attack. The Claw Talisman boosts the damage of jumping attacks by 15%.

-This attack also delivers powerful staggering damage to enemies.
