It's no secret that Lost Ark has one of the richest endgames out there. Lost Ark is one of the most comprehensive MMOs in recent memory, packed with things to do, see and experience. They are challenging and extremely rewarding and have a very satisfying skill level. The Alberhastic Guardian Raid is no different.
One of the most difficult raids to complete, packed with LOTS of mechanics to know about, a boss with an unfairly large HP bar, the Alberhastic Guardian raid offers some of the best rewards in the game.
Raids are an essential part of any MMO. In Lost Ark, they are the main endgame PvE content and one of the best (but also most difficult) ways to level up your characters.
They require a deep understanding of your class, your teammate's classes, battle items, abilities, engravings, and special mechanics unique to each boss and raid. Because of this they are very difficult and most of the time it will take you a few tries to beat them. How to beat the Alberhastic Guardian Raid
The Alberhastic Raid is one of the most difficult raids in the game. The boss has multiple forms, lots of HP, and very few weaknesses.
This guardian has five different forms. When first encountered, he will be in his "normal" form. The other forms are two melee "claw" forms and two flying forms. Each form has a different one-shot mechanic it can use, so it's important to memorize it on your first few tries.
These transformations that the boss performs can happen randomly and usually happen when you encounter him or after escaping to another area.
Special Orbs The Guardian will often spawn some bright red orbs next to him that you and your entire party MUST focus on. This is an essential part of beating this boss. If they are not destroyed, the boss will consume these orbs and become stronger, increasing its damage. Its damage can be increased to the point where even basic abilities will one-shot ANY class. Make sure you focus on the orbs every time they spawn for big hits.
Although destroying the orbs will debuff your characters for a few seconds, items like panacea can be used to instantly remove the debuff. Alongside this effect, destroying the red orbs creates blue orbs that can be consumed by the player to completely negate the next damage taken. Make sure to use this against the boss's strongest attacks.
So, even if destroying the orbs debuffs you, it's always worth it.
Alberhastic Guardian Raid Oneshot mechanics
Silver/Gold Bullets
The first way the Warden will try to wipe you out in one hit is with the Silver/Gold Bullets. The boss spawns some silver and gold orbs around him and after a while he glows in one of the two colors.
After that, you have to be hit by either the gold or silver ball depending on what color it flashed. If he flashes gold, you get the golden orb. If it flashes silver, you get the silver ball. The idea is that if you have the right orb, you'll have an aura that will protect you from the boss's next attack.
If you don't have this aura (or are not out of range of the attack), the next attack will hit you with one shot.
Also, try to just get hit by a bullet. If you are hit by a bullet of the same color, your aura will not change, but you will be stunned. In addition, your aura will change if you are hit by a different colored bullet.
If you didn't manage to hit the right color, make sure you get as far away from the boss as possible.
The Faint Blue Aura
When you encounter the boss after he changes his form or runs away to recharge, you can see a faint blue aura on him. Make sure you pay attention and coordinate with your team. After the aura appears, you have about 20 seconds to impair him and knock him down, either with abilities or with grenades.
If you fail, the boss will perform an attack (depending on what form it is in) that is very difficult to avoid and perform a one-shot.
This is when you should be using your items like the Scarecrow and Ailment Bombs.
The Blue Tornadoes
The blue tornadoes are one of the easier mechanics to dodge. The boss only performs this mechanic when in flight form.
The key to this mechanic is avoiding tornadoes when they spawn. If you get hit by a tornado, it will knock you over. After that, your character will be inflicted with a debuff that will stop you from getting pregnant any more.
At a certain point after the tornadoes appear, the boss will perform a one-shot attack. It can be avoided if you step into one of the tornadoes. Because of this, it's important to ONLY get hit by the tornado when the boss is about to attack.
However, if you get hit by a tornado, you can use the panacea potion to remove the debuff.
Because it's so difficult, it's very important that you play it a few times with low expectations. Also, it is highly recommended to try this raid with a guild.
Even if you die a lot, don't get discouraged! That's the fun of raids. Trial and error - falling down and getting up again.
