According to a study published by the Pew Research Center, YouTube and TikTok will be the top entertainment platforms (excluding video games) by American teens in 2022, while Facebook’s popularity among teens has plummeted in a few years. The number of 13-17 year olds using Instagram has increased from 52% (since 2015) to 62%, and Snapchat is right behind with 59% compared to 41% seven years ago.
