AMD boss Lisa Su, who took the stage at the opening of Computex 2022,  gave some details about highly anticipated new Ryzen 7000 processor family. Zen 4 architecture-based processors will be on the market in the fall hopefully.

What will the Ryzen 7000 series offer?

  • AMD has not yet announced which models are in the Ryzen 7000 series, but a short demo show and touched on the advantages that the Zen 4 architecture brings to the series. Ryzen processors are now much better than before.
  • In processors based on the Zen 4 core in the 5nm process, two core complex membranes are combined. The input-output control membrane of the processor, which was produced in the 5nm process of TSMC, was developed in the 6nm process.
  • The Ryzen 7000 series will scale up to 16 cores and 32 threads. It was claimed that AMD could go up to 24 cores against the Intel Raptor Lake architecture, but the ranking of the previous generation was intact. The cores can exceed the 5GHz frequency.
  • The processors, which provide a 15 percent performance increase in single-core applications, include dual-channel DDR5 memory, 28 PCIe lanes specific to the processor, TDP values of 105-120W, and 170W energy consumption at the peak.
  • In the demo presentation, it is stated that the processors can go up to 5.5GHz during the "GhostWire: Tokyo" game and perform 31 percent better than the Core i9-12900K processor during content production.
