One of the best ways to confuse your opponents is by using NBA 2K23 dribble moves. These pieces of ball-handling magic will dazzle and leave your opposition wondering where you went.

When well executed, they can force your opponents to make a mistake, leaving you with an open path to the basket or a wide-open shot. There are plenty of dribble moves in NBA 2K23, and in this article, we will teach you the best ones.

You'll need a good understanding of the NBA 2K23 controls before diving into dribble moves, but practice mode is a great way of getting used to these moves.

NBA 2K23 dribble moves

Dribbling in NBA 2K23 is a brilliant way of creating offensive opportunities. Be it beating your defender to get an open shot off or just showing off your skill, dribble moves are always fun to pull off.

But not every player is suitable for dribble moves. You need someone with high ball handle and speed with ball stats in order to pull these off consistently. If your player does have those stats though, then these are the dribble moves you should add to your arsenal.

In-and-out crossover

The in-and-out crossover is one of the best dribble moves in NBA 2K23. It is perfect to trick your defender, making him think you are going in one direction and quickly changing to the opposite one.

With this move, you can blow by your opponent and attack the rim unopposed. If another player tries to cover the rim to prevent you from having an easy layup or dunk, you can easily pass the ball to an open teammate.

To perform the in-and-out crossover, tap the right stick up right or up left towards your ball handle, and then hold sprint and choose the side you want to go, doing a crossover to the left or right on the right joystick.

Snatch-back dribble

Another dribble move that is very powerful in NBA 2K23 is the snatch-back dribble. This move is perfect to create plenty of space to get a shot off or even break your opponent's ankles.

Players such as James Harden, Stephen Curry, and Kyrie Irving, are perfect to execute this move. You want the player executing this move to have high ball handling, since it will be easier for them to perform it.

It's an easy move to execute, as you only need to tap the right stick down or away from your opponent while you are sprinting forward. The snatch-back dribble gives you plenty of offensive options, and is a move you want to have in your arsenal.

Between-the-legs size-up crossover

The between-the-legs size-up crossover is one of the most simple, and also most effective dribble moves in NBA 2K23. It’s a move almost every player will be able to execute, as it doesn't require a high ball handling or any specific badge.

This move allows you to speed boost out of it, which is great to drive by your opponent and attack the basket. You just need to be mindful of your stamina, as spamming crossovers will cost you plenty of it. To do the between-the-legs size-up crossover, simply tap the right stick left and right repeatedly.

Hesitation crossover

One of the most underrated dribble moves in NBA 2K23, the hesitation crossover can be very useful when performed correctly. If your player has a high speed with the ball, and a quick first step, he will get a speed boost that most defenders can’t keep up with. This will create space for an open mid-range shot, or an open path to the basket.

To do the hesitation crossover, tap the right stick either left or right towards your ball hand, then proceed to hold sprint and cross to your free hand. If done correctly, you will be able to create separation from your defender.

Behind the back misdirection

The perfect move to confuse a defender, and create space for an uncontested jump shot. Since the behind the back misdirection dribble move allows you to speed boost out of it, you can easily lose your defender and get an open shot. This makes it one of the hardest moves to defend in NBA 2K23.

If the ball is in your right hand, while you are holding sprint, then tap the right stick to the left and quickly tap the left stick to the right and reverse. While holding sprint you can spam this animation.
