Bigger Entertainment CEO Steven Cooper revealed that 263.4 billion SHIB tokens have been burned since October last year. The Shiba Inu (SHIB) is currently trading at $0.00002417. Accordingly, the approximate value of the tokens burned is currently over 6.5 million US dollars.
Meanwhile, coin burning incidents are on the rise in the Shiba Inu community. It’s clear that a large amount of tokens have been burned. Digital incineration aims to reduce the total amount of tokens.
The biggest burn was made by Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin. Last year, the 28-year-old investor burned 90 percent of his SHIB token holdings. At the time he burned the tokens, their value was approximately $6.8 billion.
