Lost Ark: Gunslinger Class Identity Skills

Identity skills basically mean a character’s ultimate ability. Some of Lost Ark’s classes have two, while others have one. In this case, the Gunslinger is one of the only Lost Ark classes with three and no identity gauge.

The Gunslinger uses three different weapons to deal damage: the shotgun, the sniper rifle and dual-wielding pistols. Pistols are the generic gameplay experience that offers the most skills, while the shotgun is designed for close-range gameplay, with the sniper for picking off targets at range.

Engravings are a key component of endgame customization in Lost Ark. There are many generic engravings that all classes can use which provide major boosts to your character, though often with considerable downsides. There are also two class Engravings for each class, which create distinct playstyles for endgame content. Your playstyle with the Gunslinger is totally determined by the choice of class Engraving. Here’s a closer look at two of them.

Gunslinger Exclusive Engravings

• Peacemaker – Bonus attack speed in Handgun Stance, Crit Rate in Shotgun Stance, and Additional Damage to targets under half HP in Rifle Stance.
• Time to Hunt – Crit Rate bonus for Handgun and Rifle skills. Unable to use Shotgun Stance.

Recommended Gunslinger Engravings

• Peacemaker – Bonus attack speed in Handgun Stance, Crit Rate in Shotgun Stance, and Additional Damage to targets under half HP in Rifle Stance.
• Grudge – Damage bonus to Boss or above monsters. Increases incoming damage.

Other Recommended Engravings

• Keen Blunt – Bonus Crit Damage but attacks have a chance to deal less damage.
• Cursed Doll – Attack Power increase, Healing decrease, natural recovery excluded.
• Preemptive Strikes – When attacking Challenge or lower monsters with full HP, guarantee Crits.
• Adrenaline – After using skill, Attack Power increases and adds a stack. Crit Rate increases on max stacks.
• Spirit Absorption – Attack and Move Speed increase.

A majority of top-rated players use the Peacemaker engraving. Also interesting to note, around 12% of top-rated players use Time to Hunt engraving, but all of them couple it with the Peacemaker engraving. Time to Hunt (or Hunting Time) is considered easier to play since it completely removes a stance from the skill rotation. However, it is still a valid playstyle if it’s what you prefer.

Here’s a closer look at the Gunslinger’s two Awakening skills.

• Eye Of Twilight – Applies a debuff, reducing Move Speed and Attack speed for a short period. Deals damage and inflicts Stagger and Weak. These debuffs disappear once the ability ends.
• High-Caliber HE Bullet – High stagger AoE attack with a backward leap. Deals significant damage to any enemies caught in the blast.
