All Lost Ark classes & characters
Lost Ark’s extensive class system is divided into five main categories which, in turn, are subdivided into a whole different Advanced Classes.
The 5 main classes are:
- Assassin
- Gunner
- Mage
- Martial Artist
- Warrior
After completing the tutorial and reaching Level 10, you will be given the option to choose an Advanced Class, honing in on which specific playstyle you’re looking to go for.

Berserker
Despite its heavy armor and massive sword, it is highly mobile and deals powerful damage to enemy armies with powerful AoE attacks. When his rage builds up, he can switch to rage mode and deal even more damage.
You can view our detailed Berserker guide here.
Paladin (Holy Knight)
Paladin is a Warrior Advanced Class in Lost Ark. Paladins are the most balanced Warrior evolution, as they can either inflict greats amount of damage as well as they can play as a support class on a party.
Paladin support builds feature a great capacity to absorb damage, making them tougher than the Bard, the other support class in Lost Ark. Paladins are tanks with great capabilities to heal and to buff their party members.
Paladins have a direct line to the powers of the gods, channeling their ancient might into potent offensive and defensive moves alike: They can use holy skills and buffs with the holy book to support their team from behind, or wield a sword and bring punishing skills to bear on the frontline.

Gunlancer (Warlord)
The best way to identify a warlord is to look at his gear. He carries a shield in one hand, which combined with his heavy armor makes him look like a tank. He carries a spear in his other hand. The spear is also a weapon. The warlord impales his opponents and then strikes them with his spear.
The Gunlancer is the Tankiest Lost Ark class thanks to its high defense stats and an identity skill that generates a massive shield.
If you want the tank archetype this is it. You get abilities that do major zoning, along with grips and other very controlling skills, combined with a variety of melee and diving based skills. Tou should also be aware this Lost Ark class is the slowest in the game, and has a rather clunky space bar dash.
Note, this is still a DPS class with soft support capabilities and can do quite a lot of damage, too. In PvP, many players use the Gunlancer as an off-support, using their CC tools to generate pressure while doing some damage on the side. You can also use these shields to buffs your allies too.
Bard
the Bard uses a song system, which greatly enhances two purposes, damage output or healing output. The damage output grants its allies the opportunity to buff their damage for several seconds, which works great in cooldown windows on boss fights or in PvP. Meanwhile, they can use their resource to enhance healing in an area. Overall, a very skill dependent support, but it has incredible value that make them incredibly strong in the right situations.

Sorceress
The Sorceress replaces the Summoner from the beta, with the Sorceress instead focusing on the traditional elemental mage type playstyle familiar to the western audience when the game launches. Except to use a combination of fire, ice and lightning spells to destroy your foes. There are two main builds, one which uses high impact and burst windows, while another is more spammy and uses more channelled effects to deal damage instead. There is something for everyone with this Lost Ark Class.
Shadow Hunter (Demonic)
The western version only has two Assassins types at the minute. The Shadowhunter is an assassin, which turns the character into a demon when they charge up.
If you like the Demon Hunter vibe from WoW, this is the character for you. In PvP, the character can turn into a demon and safely throw demon bolts and play as a ranged assassin if you so wish.
It is a very unique class as it is one of the only classes with a metamorphosis window, in which you can do some of the biggest damage windows in the game. Alternatively, you can sacrifice the demon form with a build playstyle and focus on the demon martial skills to slay your enemies in another thematic fashion.

Deathblade
the Deathblade, is the charge in assassin, mixing combos and cleaving with dual wield swords. This is an incredibly fast class, with plenty of dashes, combos and three weapons that slay her enemies. Think of her like a martial artist except more bloody and dangerous. Your role here is to fill up your gauge in combat, buff your weapons, and then performs an even deadlier attack when you’re done with the gauge, All in all, a very fast builder spender playstyle.
Striker
Striker is a Martial Artist Advanced Class in Lost Ark. Strikers is a Martial Arts class that attacks enemies like a strong wind. Since he is equipped with a variety of physical skills with fast movement, he displays splendid aerial combos after hitting enemies quickly, and uses powerful elemental skills to turn the battle.
Wardancer (Battle Master)
The Battlemaster fights with two punch weapons that allow for short range but high agility. Once the War Monk has collected and discharged his elemental magic, he can launch devastating attacks.
Scrapper (Infighter)
Similar to Battle Master, Infighter has two punch weapons, only slightly larger. The Infighter attacks more slowly, but deals explosive damage with each attack. There are two special resource types instead of mana.
Soulfist
Soulfist is a Martial Artist Advanced Class in Lost Ark. Soulfists is a martial arts class that switches between melee and ranged attacks, which can be used together for explosively powerful combos.
GunSlinger
Gunslinger is a Gunner Advanced Class in Lost Ark. Gunslingers are deadly opponents at any range. Light on their feet thanks to their catlike reflexes, gunslingers are hard to pin down—and quick to unload a flurry of shots on any unwary foe.
Artillerist
Artillerist is a Gunner Advanced Class in Lost Ark. Artillerists are may not be the most mobile fighters, but they make up for their lack of agility with huge mechanical launchers and other hard-hitting weapons, heavy armor, and incredible destructive force.
You can view our detailed Artillerist guide here.
Deadeye (Devil Hunter)
The Demon Hunter is prepared for any situation. He uses two of his guns, which he can fire quite quickly against fast and agile opponents. Monsters that get too close to him are shot with a shotgun. He can use his rifle to target opponents who attack slowly or from a distance, or even from a greater distance. You are free to switch between the three weapon types at any time.
Sharpshooter
Anyone familiar with League of Legends will definitely think of Twisted Fate when they think of Arcana. Both discard cards that can deal devastating damage. Arcana skills are partially based on random effects. Sometimes his attacks deal more damage, sometimes he can directly use an elite skill a second time.

Honestly, Lost Ark player should only make tier lists once they’ve played every scenario (pvp or pve) at “max level”. Cuz in my opinion sharpshooter is the top tier at pvp and pve, kind of low cds, clears so fast, and tons of stagger and damage.
